Who writes a good ‘ol fashioned ‘Fan Letter’ these days? Just my thoughts as I penned a respectful letter to a singer I have admired for a long time. Ms. Phyllis McGuire (born 1931). I found her address online and threw a letter in the mail last Friday.
Today before band practice I ran to my mailbox and saw a PACKAGE in it, to ME from PHYLLIS MCGUIRE!!!!!
Not only did she read my letter, she took time out of her schedule to WRITE ME BACK!! PHYLLIS F-ING MCGUIRE!!!! SHE WROTE ME BACK PERSONALLY!!! She mentioned some things in her letter, that I wrote in mine, so it wasn’t a generic letter. She also sent me some CD’s!!!
(memere would be SO proud)
I’ll scan the letter tomorrow!!! I am soooooooooooo impressed. And honored!!!! PHYLLIS MCGUIRE WROTE ME BACK!!
